High quality food and beverage offerings help elevate traveler experience for Qantas flyers

HONG KONGSodexo Live!, a global leader in hospitality, events and airport lounge services, has announced with Qantas, Australia's largest domestic and international airline, the opening of the state-of-the-art Qantas Hong Kong Lounge, with a seating capacity for 290 customers overlooking panoramic views of Hong Kong’s famous Sky Bridge. The Qantas Hong Kong Lounge joins its counterparts in Singapore, Los Angeles, London, and Auckland, once again extending a warm welcome to top tier frequent flyers and premium cabin customers. 

Originally opened in 2014 and one of the most popular lounges in the Qantas network, the Qantas Hong Kong International Lounge was refreshed after being closed during the pandemic. The investment is a sign in the pent-up demand for travel to the region. 

“Our customers have always loved the Hong Kong International Lounge and we are excited to bring it back better than ever,” said Qantas Chief Customer Officer Markus Svensson. “Since we resumed flights to Hong Kong in January, we’ve seen really strong demand. The lounge experience is more important now than ever, and we’re proud to work with Sodexo Live! to ensure all travelers enjoy the high level of hospitality they have come to enjoy and expect from Qantas.”

Sodexo Live!, working in close collaboration with Qantas Creative Director of Food, Beverage and Service Neil Perry, has crafted a culinary experience that blends the vibrant flavors of Hong Kong with enticing international delicacies. Working together, the Sodexo Live! culinary and hospitality team, alongside Neil Perry, has curated a globally inspired menu.

Guests will have the flexibility to dine in the formal dining area, which features a communal table, or in the relaxed lounge seating area. The large bar area will serve up a selection of premium Australian wines, beer and spirits along with mixologist-designed cocktails such as the Chi Chi, made from dark rum with pineapple, lime and vanilla. Qantas’ Quench hydration station will offer hot and cold beverages, which support wellness while traveling.

Further:

  • There is a varied plate of the day selection, with such options as Guangdong-style chicken with black beans and steamed rice and braised beef brisket noodle soup.
  • The Qantas Hong Kong Lounge’s signature cocktail is the Rabbit: a blend of Aperol, Limoncello and passionfruit; also on the menu is the Hong Kong Highball (tangerine whisky and soda), Chi Chi (rum, pineapple, vanilla and lime) and Gibson Fizz (gin, dry vermouth, pickle juice and soda).
  • The Qantas Hong Kong Lounge remains in its former location in Terminal 1’s Northern wing, which is conveniently close to the check-in counter used by Qantas.
     

The Qantas Hong Kong Lounge welcomes the following travelers:

  • Business and first-class passengers on Qantas and Oneworld partner airlines
  • Gold, Platinum and Platinum One members of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program, along with Qantas Club members
  • Oneworld Sapphire and Emerald members
  • Members of the invitation-only Qantas Chairman’s Lounge program (and any Oneworld equivalents)
