Colts, Centerplate Unveil New Menu Items for 2019 Season at Lucas Oil Stadium

Newly Crafted Concepts and New Local Partners Highlight the Fan-Friendly Menu

Indianapolis ThursdaySeptember 12, 2019—As excitement builds for the 2019 home opener, the Indianapolis Colts and Centerplate, the team’s hospitality partner, today unveiled new food and beverage items for fans to enjoy at Lucas Oil Stadium. The new offerings feature classic Indianapolis favorites and new creative items that will contribute to a top-notch culinary experience for the home crowd and visitors alike.

“The newest iteration of our menu reflects a full offseason of hard work by our team, the Colts and our valued partners,” said Centerplate General Manager Lynda Fonderoli. “The offerings curated by Chef Shimu Adem reflects the diverse Indianapolis food scene, while still honing in on the gameday favorites that fans love and enjoy. It is a winning approach.”

Building off the success of the Burger of the Game from the 2018 season, weekly “Gridiron Burgers” of the game will be flame-grilled, all-beef patties with a special topping and served with French fries, with the new offerings announced on a weekly basis. New, healthier items include the Circle City Cobb Salad and a Beets and Greens Salad.

“Each season, we look to improve and enhance every aspect of the Colts gameday experience, which of course includes the many and varied food and beverage offerings throughout the stadium,” said Roger VanDerSnick, Colts chief sales & marketing officer.  “We are excited we are able to highlight the vibrant Indianapolis culinary culture at our games, all while adding new options to an already exciting and satisfying menu.”

The new offerings include:

New General Concourse Items

  • Chicken Waffle Sandwich Basket ($10.00) – A unique combination of a crispy fried spicy chicken breast, smoked bacon topped with locally sourced maple syrup served between maple waffles, with strawberry jam
  • Fried Mushroom Po’ Boy Basket ($9.00) – Fried Portobello mushroom slices with fresh spinach and a zesty garlic aioli, served on a fresh baguette
  • Nacho Fries ($7.00) – Housemade crispy fries loaded with Chorizo and Hatch Chili Cheese sauce
  • Heartland Cheesesteaks ($12.00) – Shaved seasoned beef sautéed with onions and peppers, topped with beer cheese sauce and served on fresh baguette
  • Jumbo Colts Forged Hot Dog – Jumbo Eisenberg Angus Beef Hot Dog topped with chopped bacon and a sweet corn relish
  • Hoosier Duck Nachos ($12.00) – Loaded tray of nachos drizzled with queso blanco cheese and topped with shredded duck, pico de gallo and sour cream to top it off
  • Buffalo Chicken Basket ($9.50)- Deep fried breaded chicken breast dipped in buffalo sauce and topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles served on a hamburger bun with fries
  • Burgers of the Game ($10.00) – options will include:
    • Buckhead Burger: Flame grilled all-beef hamburger with sliced cheddar cheese, breaded green tomato, grilled peach BBQ sauce served on a hamburger bun with french fries
    • Green Chili Burger: Flame grilled all-beef hamburger with pork green chilis and tri-colored tortilla chips served on a hamburger bun with french fries
    • Carolina BBQ Burger: Flame grilled all-beef hamburger with sliced cheddar cheese, vinegar pulled pork and battered fried pickles served on a hamburger bun with french fries

New Healthy Options

  • Circle City Cobb Salad ($8.00) – Grilled chicken, diced locally sourced tomato, cucumber, shredded carrot, hard-boiled egg, Jack cheese, smoked bacon, crispy romaine lettuce and corn. Served with Ranch Dressing
  • Beets and Greens Salad (8.00) – Roasted beets with seasonal greens, quinoa, roasted pumpkin seeds and a light mustard vinaigrette
  • California Wrap ($8.00) – Cucumber, avocado, lettuce, carrot, red cabbage and farmer’s cheese served in a whole wheat wrap

New Beverages

  • Large Beers – Domestic ($12.00) – Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, Miller Lite and Coors Light
  • Large Beers – Premium ($14.00) – Shock Top, Estrella Jalisco, Blue Moon and Modelo
  • Seltzers – adding onto the seltzer craze, we are introducing White Claw Black Cherry & Mango in 16 oz serving sizes. Fans can also enjoy Bon & Viv in cans and on tap at select locations.
  • Craft Beer Flights ($10.00) – back again by popular demand after last season’s debut, fans select 3 local craft beers from the follow options: Metazoa Hoppopotamus, 4 Day Ray Blood Orange, St Joseph’s Kolsch, 2 Deep Cream Ale, Sun King Wee Mac, Sun King Osiris
  • Assorted Souvenir Cocktails

  • Three Foot Italian Sub – Freshly baked hoagie roll with thinly sliced smoked ham, Genoa salami, mortadella, prosciutto, provolone cheese, beefsteak tomato, shredded lettuce, pickled banana peppers, mayonnaise, sweet pepper spread, oregano, oil and red wine vinegar
  • Surf & Turf Kabobs – Grilled tenderloin of beef and citrus marinated grilled shrimp, skewered with chargrilled Tinkerbell peppers and BBQ glaze
  • Shredded Duck Nachos – Shredded duck with blue corn tortilla chips, fresh pico de gallo, shredded cheddar cheese, charred red onion, green onion and sriracha sour cream
  • Pots & Pans Pie Co.® Pie of the Game – The acclaimed Indianapolis-based bakery specializes in seasonal sweet and savory pies. Founder Clarissa Morley has committed to supporting her fellow business owners and incorporates many ingredients from local farms to create some of the best pies the Hoosier State has to offer.
  • Creamy Indiana Corn Dip – Hoosier roasted corn with green onion, smoked green chilies and cheddar cheese.  Served chilled with Ruffles® potato chips
  • Warm Pretzel Bites – Fried to order and served with local dark beer cheese fondue and an assortment of mustards
