Partner Communities Receive Industry-leading Excellence and Safety Label

A significant challenge for senior living communities is how to ensure that infection prevention and control remains a priority for their residents. Residents and their families want to feel safe in their living environment and they trust that their community will take the necessary steps to ensure this happens.

Sodexo Seniors’ Reassure program provides the support that our partner communities need, by mitigating the spread of pathogens and following science-based disinfection protocols informed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines. And while there is currently a hyper focus on preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2—the virus that leads to COVID-19—Reassure also helps prevent the spread of the flu and MRSA, among others.

By adopting this tailored disinfection program communities can provide a safer and healthier resident experience. Taking a proactive, resident-centric approach also inspires peace of mind. In addition, resident reassurance can be accomplished through a third-party audit and certification by Bureau Veritas (BV)—an independent company that tests, inspects, and certifies processes nationally and across several industries. BV has a deep understanding of the senior living industry and uses data to help teams stay vigilant and compliant.

Two partner communities of Sodexo Seniors that use Reassure—Miami Jewish Health and ClarkLindsey Village—have received a unique distinction. Bureau Veritas awarded both communities a SafeGuard Hygiene Excellence and Safety label, making these two the first senior living communities in the country to receive this designation. The SafeGuard label identifies a community has met stringent requirements to minimize the onsite risk of virus spread and is adhering to best-in-class hygiene and safety protocols.

Achieving the SafeGuard label designation at Miami Jewish Health is like winning the Oscars.
