Sodexo Appoints Robyn Welter to General Counsel, North America, to lead Legal, Compliance, and Governance

NORTH BETHESDA, Md. (August 24, 2026) — Sodexo, a global leader in food and services, today formally announced Robyn Welter as General Counsel, North America, following her appointment to the role on June 22, 2026. In this role, Welter leads the legal function across North America, provides strategic legal and risk mitigation guidance, and oversees litigation management, employment law, commercial contracting/operations legal support, compliance, regulatory matters, and corporate governance. She reports jointly to Thierry Delaporte, in his capacity as CEO for Sodexo North America, and Angelo Piccirillo, Group General Counsel, and serves on the North America Leadership Team.

Welter has built an exceptional career at Sodexo since joining the company in 2006, with expanding leadership responsibilities across the North America Law Department. In her most recent role as North America Deputy General Counsel, she led the delivery of legal services across the region while also serving as North America Corporate Secretary and leading the Labor and Employment, Compliance, and Government Affairs functions.

“Robyn’s deep understanding of our business, strong legal expertise and steady leadership make her exceptionally well suited to lead our North America Law Department,” said Delaporte. “As Sodexo continues to strengthen governance, manage risk and advance our long-term growth priorities in North America, Robyn plays a critical role in ensuring thoughtful, consistent decision-making across the organization.”

“I’m honored to serve in this role and continue partnering with our teams across North America,” said Welter. “The Law Department plays an important role in enabling the business, strengthening governance and supporting responsible growth, and I look forward to building on the strong foundation we have established.”

Welter was promoted to Vice President and Associate General Counsel, Labor and Employment North America in 2022, following years of increasing responsibility within the company. In 2020, she helped guide the region through complex legal challenges stemming from COVID-19. Since October 2025, she has assumed additional responsibilities during a critical transformation period for the Law Department, demonstrating strong leadership and delivering meaningful business outcomes for the North America region. Welter resides in the New York area.
