Industry veteran to advance strategic agenda focused on solutions to enhance the student experience and address evolving expectations in higher education and K-12 environments across the U.S. to achieve performance, innovation and growth
NORTH BETHESDA, Md. (April , 30 2026) —Sodexo, a global leader in food and facilities management, today announced the appointment of Ashton Sequeira as Chief Executive Officer, Campus & Schools, U.S., effective April 13, 2026. The move strengthens Sodexo’s leadership team as the company sharpens its focus on accelerated growth, strategic innovation and disciplined execution across core markets.
In this role, Sequeira will lead both the Campus and Schools businesses in the U.S., delivering tailored solutions aligned to the distinct environments of higher education and K–12 institutions as they navigate ongoing industry pressures and a rapidly evolving education landscape. Colleges, universities and school districts continue to face interconnected challenges, from shifting student and parent expectations and changing enrollment dynamics to increased demand for experience, quality, value and operational performance. Sequeira’s focus will include deepening client partnerships and driving sustainable portfolio expansion through continued innovation across Sodexo’s education segments.
“Sodexo’s education businesses play a vital role in supporting student success and thriving learning environments,” said Thierry Delaporte, Group Chief Executive Officer of Sodexo. “Ashton brings deep experience leading complex education hospitality operations through periods of transformation. His ability to build high‑performing teams and deliver results will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen and expand our client partnerships across Campus and Schools.”
Sequeira brings more than 25 years of global leadership experience in foodservice, hospitality and facilities management. He joins Sodexo from Compass Group Canada, where he most recently served as Chief Strategy Officer, leading enterprise-wide strategy, including market expansion, mergers and acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
Earlier in his career, Sequeira held senior operating roles across North America in education, healthcare and hospitality. He served as President of Chartwells Canada, where he led a significant transformation of the education dining business and as Chief Operating Officer of Levy Restaurants, guiding the business through a strong post-pandemic recovery.
“I’m honored to join Sodexo at a time when education institutions are navigating significant change. We have a remarkable opportunity ahead of us to reshape how we deliver value to clients given the challenges of the education industry today, and I’ll be working closely alongside the talented teams at Sodexo to deliver meaningful experiences to students, educators and communities every day,” said Sequeira. “I look forward to partnering with clients to enhance service quality, support their missions and help build resilient, future-ready education environments.”
Sequeira is actively engaged in his community, serving on Venturepark Labs advisory board and is an ownership partner in AFC Toronto, part of Canada’s first professional women’s soccer league, reflecting his broader commitment to advancing sport, entrepreneurship and community development.
