Arkansas Tech University partners with Sodexo to bring student-inspired dining innovation and new campus concepts to life

NORTH BETHESDA, Md. (July 22, 2026) — Arkansas Tech University has selected Sodexo as its campus dining partner to introduce a refreshed dining experience shaped by student feedback and anchored in new residential and retail concepts across campus. The partnership will bring greater variety, convenience and community connection to campus dining while supporting student well-being and responding to the priorities students identified throughout the university’s evaluation process. 

“Today’s students expect dining to be more flexible, more personal and more connected to how they live on campus,” said Chuck Hatfield, vice president of culinary for Sodexo Campus. “At Arkansas Tech, we are bringing together residential dining, retail favorites and gathering spaces that offer more choice, more convenience and more opportunities for students to connect over food. This is about creating a dining experience that feels current, responsive and built around the student experience.” 

Sodexo’s new dining vision for Arkansas Tech will include One&All, a residential dining program at Chambers Dining Hall designed to deliver greater choice, variety and inclusivity in the everyday dining experience. The program will be complemented by retail favorites such as Slim Chickens, Tacos 4 Life, Gator Grill, Starbucks We Proudly Serve and The Union, along with Jerry’s Diner at the Ozark Campus. Together, the concepts are designed to modernize campus dining, expand access to familiar and flexible options, and create more welcoming spaces for students to gather, recharge and connect. 

“We invested the time necessary over the past 18 months to hear student concerns and evaluate our best available option to better serve our students and guests,” said Suzanne McCall, Arkansas Tech vice president of administration and finance. “That process, which included the opportunity to experience food service operations at other universities and significant input from ATU Student Government Association, revealed to us that Sodexo is the food service vendor that is best positioned to enhance our campus community. We are excited about this partnership and look forward to the improvements coming to Arkansas Tech food service beginning this fall.” 

As Arkansas Tech and Sodexo prepare for students’ return to campus next month, both organizations are focused on a smooth transition and an ongoing feedback process that will help the dining program continue to evolve with student needs, campus priorities and emerging dining trends.
