Fans can dig into delicious eats from Executive Chef Chris Carr, as excitement builds for 2022-2023 football season

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (July 25, 2022) – Sodexo Live!, the exclusive hospitality partner to the University of Michigan Athletics Department, has unveiled new food and beverage offerings for the 2022-2023 college football season, feeding fans from the main concourse to premium suites, private parties and more at Michigan Stadium. In addition to feeding fans and the Wolverines team, Sodexo Live! is at the heart of athletic dining on the iconic Ann Arbor campus, serving an array of athletic facilities throughout the year.  

Tapped into the local food scene, Executive Chef Chris Carr has introduced a well-rounded menu of new items from appetizers to dessert. Chef Carr is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and has earned the Loyal E. Horton’s Dining Awards grand prize for the University of Michigan and Ohio State Rivalry Dinner. With Chef Carr’s expertise, food offerings and overall fan experience continues to evolve what it means to dine at a sporting event.    

A few of Chef Carr’s new creations include:  

  • Smoked Turkey Brie: Thinly sliced smoked turkey stacked high with creamy brie cheese, baby kale and finished with cranberry aioli on a baguette
  • Southwest Quinoa Salad: Tri-colored quinoa with roasted red peppers, black beans, chao cheese, cilantro and roasted heirloom grape tomatoes with a charred poblano vinaigrette
  • Build-Your-Own Impossible Burger: Served with tomato chutney, arugula and chao cheese on the side on a brioche bun
  • Bourbon BBQ Brisket: Sliced hardwood smoked brisket finished with a bourbon BBQ glaze, herb roasted fingerling sweet potatoes, caramelized shallot and roasted brussels sprouts
  • Caramel Apple Tart: Sliced local Michigan apples served on a bed of house-spiced cider caramel in a flaky tart shell 

 

The menu also features a new local partnership with Fairway Packaging Co. who will provide their quality, all-natural meats for a plethora of different menu items. Additionally, other area favorites back this season are Barry’s Bagels, Washtenaw Dairy and Dearborn Sausage Co.

Chef Carr’s new menu items will really resonate with Wolverine Nation and give visitors one more thing to look forward to this season.

Sodexo Live! continues to commit to working with U-M and Green Safe Products to help create a zero waste Michigan Stadium. A zero waste Michigan Stadium supports U-M's deep commitment to sustainability in education, research and operations known as Planet Blue and directly impacts the university's 2025 sustainability goals, specifically the goals to reduce waste sent to landfills by 40 percent and to strengthen the culture of sustainability on campus. 

Sodexo Live! also serves numerous leading collegiate and professional partners, including the University of Mississippi, University of Kansas, University of Florida, along with the Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts and more.  

Michigan Stadium is a 100 percent cashless facility, and the Sodexo Live! operation adheres to all state and local safety guidelines when it comes to food service. The team also donates leftover food servings to local organizations, and employs thousands of local employees as a way to bolster the community.
