Illinois State University, Northern Illinois University get added to the Sodexo Live! college football roster this year

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (August 31, 2022) – As the hospitality partner to the world’s most iconic venues, Sodexo Live! is proud to feed college football fans, as well as some athletes at ten stadiums across the U.S. With a new season comes new food and beverage from the creative minds of our culinary teams, as well as other fan experience updates, to ensure guests are given memory-making opportunities filled with fun and great food when they come to cheer on their teams this year.

North America. “We recognize that and work hard to improve the fan experience year over year through the introduction of creative new menu items, tech innovations and best-in-class service to ensure fans are truly enjoying these memorable moments.”   

Highlights for the 2022 Season

The University of Michigan | Michigan Stadium
 

  • Smoked Turkey Brie: Thinly sliced smoked turkey stacked high with creamy brie cheese, baby kale and finished with cranberry aioli on a baguette
  • Southwest Quinoa Salad: Tri-colored quinoa with roasted red peppers, black beans, chao cheese, cilantro and roasted heirloom grape tomatoes with a charred poblano vinaigrette
  • Build-Your-Own Impossible Burger: Served with tomato chutney, arugula and chao cheese on the side on a brioche bun
  • Bourbon BBQ Brisket: Sliced hardwood smoked brisket finished with a bourbon BBQ glaze, herb roasted fingerling sweet potatoes, caramelized shallot and roasted brussels sprouts
  • Caramel Apple Tart: Sliced local Michigan apples served on a bed of house-spiced cider caramel in a flaky tart shell
  • The menu also features a new local partnership with Fairway Packaging Co. who will provide their quality, all-natural meats for a plethora of different menu items

The University of Mississippi | Vaught-Hemingway Stadium
 

  • General concourse: Jack & Coke Chicken Sandwiches and The Grover Burger (similar to a smashburger)
  • Suites: Fried Chicken Platter with Biscuits and Hot Honey
  • Clubs: New Rebel Dog with House Secret Sauce
  • New partnership with Tupelo-based Shenanigans that will bring crab and shrimp boils to fans
  • For guests 21-years and older, the Dos Equis Beer Deck and Blue Moon Brewhouse provide new spots to gather with friends and fellow fans
  • New POS terminals have been added to the cashless stadium to bring the total to 250 – a 35 percent increase from 2021
     

The University of Kansas | David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium
 

  • New local partnership with Papa Keno’s to offer New York-style pizza slices
  • Expanding menu with freshly grilled burgers, footlong hot dogs, Chicago dogs and chili cheese dogs
  • Offering happy hour at football games for the first hour after gates open through thirty minutes before kick-off selling various discounted items
  • New grab-n-go stations
     

The University of Louisville | Cardinal Stadium
 

  • Five new grab-and-go outposts
  • Ticketmaster is now integrated with POS systems so when season ticket holders scan their barcode they will receive game-by-game food and beverage promotions
  • The Angels Envy Club, formerly the Brown and Williamson club, went through a multi-million-dollar renovation bringing in two new speakeasys, expanded bar touchpoints, integrated jumbo video boards and a new second-floor landing with access to the suite level
  • New partnerships:
    • Local restaurant Green District is new to the main concourse, with two outposts and items featured on the suite menus. Green District provides quick-service healthy eats in the form of gourmet salads and wraps
    • Scragglepop kettle corn, based out of Huntington, West Virginia, will be breaking into the Louisville market with their delicious sweet and salty snack popping fresh in two main concourse locations, and will be featured on the suite menu
       

University of Alabama, Birmingham | Protective Stadium
 

  • Cinnamon Sugar Chicharrons
  • Smoked Tofu Nachos with Housemade Cashew Cream
  • Watermelon Burrata Salad 
  • Chef-Curated Smoked Meat Charcuterie Board 
  • And The Sloss Dog, Protective Stadium’s Signature Hot Dog, is back. The dog is served with mustard, relish, chili, barbecue onions and sauerkraut. Sloss Furnaces, a National Historic Landmark in Birmingham, embodies how the iron and steel industry impacted the growth of the city
     

The University of Florida | Ben Hill Griffin Stadium & Gary Condron Family Dining Hall
 

As the exclusive food and beverage partner to Florida Gators fans at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, the team has expanded its partnership to provide hospitality for athletes and athletic team staff at the university’s new Gary Condron Family Dining Hall, part of the James W “Bill” Heavener Football Training Facility, that opened to the football program on August 14. 

Northern Illinois University | Huskie Stadium 
 

A new partner to Sodexo Live!, fans of Huskie Stadium can look forward to their favorite classic menu items for the 2022 season, as well as a few new specialty offerings including BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, BBQ pulled pork nachos, and cheese and pepperoni pizzas. To help speed up the purchasing process and get fans back to watching the game faster, Huskie Stadium is also now a completely cashless venue.  

Harvard University | Harvard Stadium
 

In addition to regular season games, Sodexo Live! will help support “The Game” between Yale and Harvard that is back for this upcoming season. Variety is achieved through the placement of food carts throughout the concourse, with options like sausage and pepper sandwiches, chicken tenders, pizza and more. 

Illinois State University | Hancock Stadium 
 

Sodexo Live! and Illinois State University have kicked off a new partnership for the 2022 college football season. Redbird Row, a brand-new fan experience, has been announced in anticipation of the upcoming Redbird Football season, which will be located in Lot G73, directly east of Hancock Stadium. Gameday classics abound, along with a mix of specialty stands. 

Hard Rock Stadium, Miami
 

Will also see updated general concourse items for University of Miami football games. The offerings for “The U” home games always represent the best of the 305 and broader South Florida.
