Fans can enjoy new concepts, refreshed favorites and creative dishes that embody the best that British Columbia has to offer.

VANCOUVER, CanadaSodexo Live!, hospitality partner to the world’s most iconic venues, including BC Place, today announced a lineup of new menu offerings for the 2023 season, which will include matches for Major League Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps, the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League and an exciting slate of world-class concerts. The new menu items launched at the Vancouver Whitecaps FC home opener on February 25.  

“We’re thrilled to be kicking off another season of events at BC Place with new offerings that will complement the excitement and add to the live event experience,” said Greg Fender, Executive Vice President, Sodexo Live! North America. “Our teams do significant planning when developing new menus, and the result is a great representation of our culinarians’ talents and creativity, and local Vancouver influence, all wrapped around best-in-class service.”   

Led by Executive Chef Wayne Chen, new and refreshed menu concepts were developed over the offseason, taking guest feedback from the previous year into account, as well as current trends, and the incorporation of products from local businesses. As with previous years, the BC Place menu continues to offer a wide range of gluten free, vegan and vegetarian friendly options, making it a stand-out venue for high-quality, delicious choices that cater to different dietary needs. 

Highlights and new offerings this year include:

New Korean Fried Chicken concept, Seoul Food:

Housemade and locally sourced from Hallmark Farms  

  • Korean fried chicken or plant-based vegan tenders with flavor options including soy honey garlic, snowing cheese, Gochujang glaze and original 
  • Snowing cheese and Gochujang fries (gluten free, vegetarian friendly)
     

Housemade sandwiches at Beast Unleashed:Image of burger on black bun

  • Porky Pine Burger – Grilled pork chop, spam, butter and house baked pineapple bun
  • Tuxedo Wild Mushroom Truffle Burger (A.K.A. the “All Black Burger” at HSBC Rugby Sevens) – Beef burger with ingredients from local Misty Mountain Specialties featuring caramelized mushroom, truffle cheese and truffle aioli on a charcoal brioche bun
  • Foot Long Lobster Roll – Atlantic lobster and fresh herbs on a brioche bun from local bakery La Baguette
  • Smoked Meat Sandwich – Pickled brisket and yellow mustard on an onion bun from local bakery La Baguette
     

Boom Kitchen:

  • Tuna Poke Bowl – Ahi tuna, cucumber, edamame, pickled ginger, carrots, yuzu sesame soy dressing, siracha aioli, brown rice and quinoa (gluten free)
  • Jerk Chicken Bowl – Tender chicken bites, pineapple salsa, spiced black beans, coconut rice; features ingredients from local Hallmark Farms (gluten free)
     

The Poutinerie:

  • Cheeseburger Poutine – Ground beef, diced onion, cheese curds, shredded cheddar, red wine gravy featuring ingredients from local Saputo Dairy
     

Lionsgate Grill:

  • Crispy Chicken Sandwich – Crispy battered chicken breast, crisp lettuce, cheddar cheese, house special sauce featuring ingredients from Langley, BC’s JD Sweid Foods
     

Bombay South Asian Kitchen:

*To be featured at Vaisakhi theme night on April 8 for Whitecaps FC match 

  • Butter Chicken – Boneless chicken, fenugreek, garam masala, crushed tomato and cream
  • Handmade Vegetable Samosas – Peas, carrots, potatoes, spices featuring ingredients from local Nana’s Kitchen (vegetarian)
  • Chana Masala – Chickpea, red lentil, onion, tomato, house masala, coconut milk (gluten free, vegan) 

For speed of service, there’s a Budweiser Beer Express (Sections 208, 213, 219 & 240) for fans to responsibly order and get back to their seats quicker. Additionally, the recently launched “Snack Shack” offers various grab-and-go items in a self-checkout format.

Thirsty Pigeon beverage locations also offer a diverse menu of beers featuring Alexander Keith's IPA, Budweiser, Bud Light, Kokanee and Stella Artois. Rotating local craft offerings include beers from Vancouver Island Brewery, Stanley Park Brewery, Red Truck Brewery and Steamworks Brewery, and more will rollout throughout the year.
