Creating a Better Tomorrow

At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals across all aspects of our operations. Our role as an employer focuses on enhancing our employees' lives, targeting an 80% engagement rate through safety and well-being initiatives. As a service provider, we're committed to encouraging healthy lifestyle choices, ensuring nutritious options are available to every consumer, every day. As a corporate citizen, we aim for a hunger-free world, striving to impact 3.6 million annual Stop Hunger beneficiaries.

Our Role as an Employer

We are committed to improving the quality of life for employees through sound, positive and safe working environments.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do, everyday. We create work experiences and environments that foster a zero-harm culture, provide adaptive environments, guarantee protection from harassment, promote healthy work-life balance and offer access to financial well-being.

Sodexo directly manages full-time employees, part-time employees and subcontractors within the U.S. in your communities. We have policies and procedures to manage the wide variety of health and safety conditions we face working in varied environments - like industrial, kitchens, logistics, service, etc.

An employee’s health, safety and well-being is not isolated to the job site. We also understand and care about our employees’ work-life balance, mental health and financial well-being.

Our Role as a Service Provider

We are committed to encouraging our consumers to access healthy lifestyle choices, including balanced and nutritious eating. Specifically, that means eating more fruits and vegetables, legumes and whole grains, as well as less salt, sugar and unhealthy fats.

It's easier to make healthier choices when they are accessible, affordable and high quality. We address these three important barriers within our client services.

To ensure customer satisfaction, we anticipate and respond to evolving customer expectations and give access to healthy lifestyle choices, including balanced and nutritious eating.

We also have goals for offering plant-based menus and employing Registered Dietitians. We serve millions of consumers each day in the U.S. and more than 25% of U.S. consumers are limiting their meat consumption, according to the 2023 Plant-Forward Opportunity Report.

Our Role as a Corporate Citizen

We are committed to fighting hunger and malnutrition. As a leader in the food services space, we use our skills, expertise, leadership and resources to address the problem of hunger and access to affordably healthy options in the U.S.

Our employees see hunger up close in the places we operate, especially among K-12 and university students. We help people have access to healthy food today by reducing food waste, increasing food donations and supporting backpacks, food pantries and summer feeding programs. We are also committed to ending hunger permanently by supporting a variety of programs like workforce development and community gardening.
