Celebrating 10 Years of Growth, Impact and Happiness

The last 10 years have flown by in the blink of an eye. I joined Sodexo in 2011 as an Operations Manager at the Chicago Botanic Garden and had no idea that my career would take me into Human Resources and then Talent Acquisition.

I first heard of Sodexo when I was in college and the company was a sponsor of the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality NSMH where I was an active member. Through networking with Sodexo recruiters, I was fortunate to make lifelong connections who helped me to realize my career ambitions. Fast forward to today, I have recruited and supported hiring for multiple segments of the Sodexo business and enjoy the impact I have had in helping grow the organization. 

What attracted me to Sodexo was the company culture and focus on providing Quality of Life services to our clients, employees and customers. In addition, I love the fact that Sodexo places great value on diversity, equality and inclusion, especially being a Hispanic female Veteran. 

On a personal note, during my 10 years here, I also became a wife, a mother and even relocated to another state all while maintaining my career with the company. Sodexo offers me the balance I need to juggle family and work at the same time. I can be the wife, mom and career professional I have always wanted to be. 

As a Senior Recruiter, I love the opportunity to make a first impression on a candidate. I enjoy networking, recruiting and aligning talent to the right opportunities because I know firsthand how exciting it is to find that perfect job so I get great satisfaction knowing that I am making that impact on others.
