Collaborative Culture Helps Sodexo Sales Thrive During COVID-19
As COVID-19 halted travel last year, Sodexo’s on-the-go sales organization was temporarily grounded.
Collaborating from home offices, the team continued to offer clients unique and creative solutions to safely reopen operations and meet the needs of customers. As businesses welcomed back employees and customers, many old norms needed to be replaced with new and innovative offerings.
“As a global company, we’re able to utilize the tools and innovation from other segments to build the best offers for our clients,” shared Gloria Chabot, Account Management Director. “The whole organization is open to us to tap into when creating solutions, which is pretty powerful.”
The pandemic hasn’t slowed down the valuable connections that help our sales organization to find success. Sherry Ephraim, National Director of Business Development, has been in sales for more than 20 years and joined Sodexo in 2019 right before the pandemic hit. “The Sodexo Sales culture is supportive and very inclusive. They want everyone to be successful, so there’s a culture of collaboration. Even right now, with us all working from home, our connections are strong.”
With everyone temporarily remote, we had virtual conversations with members of the sales organization to hear firsthand stories about working for Sodexo in this new video.
A common theme in our conversations was the collaborative nature of the teams. “We work in a matrixed environment, [it’s] really about helping each other,” explains Elizabeth Jorgensen, SVP and Head of Business Development. “We don’t have a cutthroat sales culture at all. Instead, it’s one of helping each other to win.”
Aaron Polston, Executive Director of Client Success, echoed those comments. “From leadership to colleagues, everyone cares about your success and well-being, both personally and professionally. When facing a barrier, you have the support of the team to work through it and find the best solution.”
