Menus feature 10 local businesses, stacked footlong hot dog, savory and sweet paninis, and more for 30,000 fans

HAMILTON, OntarioSodexo Live!, hospitality partner to the world’s most iconic venues, including Tim Hortons Field, is set to feed 30,000 Canadian Football League fans at the 110th Grey Cup as the Montreal Alouettes and Winnipeg Blue Bombers fight for the title on November 19, 2023. 

The hospitality lineup, curated by Sodexo Live! Chef Jonathan Philippe, was thoughtfully and creatively imagined to complement the excitement of this special event. It also allows fans who attend Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Forge FC games at Tim Hortons Field throughout the year with enticing new options extending beyond what they can typically enjoy.

Executive Vice President Greg Fender. “With our expertise as partners to some of the world’s biggest sporting events, we’re excited to take the fan experience at one of the Canadian Football League’s biggest events of the year to the next level.”

To support the thriving local hospitality community and bring in unique homegrown flavors, 10 area business partners will be incorporated into the dishes sold across the clubs and general concourse, including Morton’s, Lou’s, Fresh Start, Sushi Azuki, Fresh Stone, Woodward’s Meats, Fresh Niagara Mushrooms, Denningers, Dawson’s Hot Sauce and The Udder Way Artisan Cheese Company. 

Menu highlights for the 110th Grey Cup include:

  • Cubano Panini: Maple Dijon roast pork, bread & butter pickles, bacon, cheese curds, chimichurri
  • Mushroom Panini: Steak spiced mushrooms, chimichurri, smoked provolone, Arugula
  • Peking Golden Duck Wings  
  • Beef Ribs: Jim Bean Coca-Cola BBQ glaze served with pickled vegetable slaw
  • French Toast Panini: Brioche French toas filled with caramelized banana, bacon, and marshmallows
  • Beef Yorkie Bowl: Yorkshire pudding bowl filled with cottage stew
  • Lou’s Hammer Slammer: Ten slices of peameal stacked on a golden brioche bun with crispy fried onions, baby arugula, grainy mustard
  • Cheddar Bacon Hickory Stick Footlong “Hammer Dog” Hot Dog: Old Dutch medley crumble on top
  • Bacon-themed Caesar made beverage: Bacon infused vodka topped with a strip of candied bacon

With this year’s Grey Cup hosting about 6,000 more fans than previously due to added seating and tented suites, preparations for the event have been underway far in advance. More than 750 Sodexo Live! Experience Makers will be onsite day-of to ensure a world-class experience for fans. 150,000 canned beers and seltzers are chilled and ready to serve across the stadium, including at popular onsite bars like the Coors Banquet Bar and Bench Brewing Company, and, as an anticipated fan-favorite, the culinary team is ready to serve anywhere from 4,000-6,000 of the hearty Hammer Hot Dog.
