Resolution to be more healthy? Sodexo can help

  • As the New Year’s resolution season has many of us looking to take better care of ourselves, we want healthy and nutritious options at home, work, school or wherever we want to grab a meal. Sodexo has our back.

As one of the largest employers of registered dieticians, Sodexo considers nutrition a core tenet of the services it provides. Those dieticians collaborate with chefs to keep menus packed with nutrients at our more than 13,000 client sites in North America.

At the same, Sodexo has been recognized in the food service industry as a leader in developing menus that are both healthy and sustainable. We collaborate on menus with the World Wildlife Fund, the Humane Society  and the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA), among others.

“Whether enjoying a mushroom-blend burger at school or grabbing a snack on a trip to the aquarium, America’s kids are fueling up on healthier foods thanks to the commitment of PHA partner Sodexo,” writes the PHA.

In 2019, Sodexo became the first global food services company to commit to serve plant-friendly Future 50 Foods. These are foods that nutritionists and conservation advocates have identified as healthy, flavorful plant-based foods that have a lower carbon footprint than animal-based foods.

Previously, Sodexo U.S. rolled out 200 hundred new plant-based menu items that were so popular, that we introduced them globally, “Sodexo has a long-term commitment to nutrition and sustainability as a worldwide leading provider of food services,” said Rob Morasco, Sodexo’s senior director of culinary development in the United States.
